Default painful scar almost 2 years on

It has been almost 2 years since ds was born via emergency c/s and I am now feeling pain on my scar. Is this normal?

I am thinking that maybe the nerves are starting to grow back and that is why I am now feeling pain.. but i'm not sure.

anyone else take this long to start hurting?

If I had a scar start hurting after that amount of time I would get it checked out by a doctor. People sometimes go back and have surgery to fix scar problems at a later date. I don't think you need surgery or anything- but it doesn show that scars sometimes have a life of their own and need management.

Definately get it checked babe. I had dd 18 months ago almost and my scar has been infected 3 times. Last time was about 3 months ago and it was so bad I was put on Antibiotics 3 times a day for 7 days, it was crap! My doctor told me because *COVER EYES IF YOU GET QUEEZY* i was literally POURING puss out of my wound cause it' had opened back up again, apparently there can be really deep infections under the scar and sometimes it takes a while for them to surface kwim? Before my last infection mine was sore, just felt like an ingrown hair.

Hi Sirenz
best to get it checked but it might not be anything major - my 1st c/s felt like it was being 'pulled' if i did some movements until it was cut out when i had my 2nd c/s - then had no pain etc. But like KL said - best checked in case of infection - eeek i didn't know you could get infected so late after - i guess that must have been some dodgy sewing!
