Default anyone else's baby do exactly what The Wonder Weeks predicts?

DD is being quite fussy this week. She doesn't want me to leave her sight, is sleeping badly, is getting upset at things I don't understand at all (ie I don't know what it is that triggers the tears).

Seeing as we're having a for-once peaceful week in our travels overseas, this is surprising. Until I looked up on the The Wonder Weeks website to see that she's exactly the age where they predict a fussy stage associated with the baby learning that mum can be a distance further away from them than is comfortable, and there is nothing the baby can do to control that.

This is not at all the first time that this book has predicted exactly what DD was going to do, in terms of when she's fussy and when she's relatively settled. I'm amazed that it's that accurate. Either she's kinda the poster-child for the book, or it's really very predictable stuff. I'm absolutely impressed by this book, and recommend it to everyone I know.

Does anyone else have great success using this book to anticipate correctly when your baby will be having a fussy or a difficult stage?

Yes, every time. Often DD is a week out here or there, but it predicts the behaviour perfectly!

Agreed - my DS is a textbook wonder-weeker, I must say its nice to be reassured its normal and will pass. Weeks 17 and the 6 month one were the toughest so far

Wonder Weeks has maintained my sanity. Just when I am ready to give up, have lost all of my confidence the book describes exactly what Lulu is doing and tells me its normal, to be expected and that it will pass. It amazes me how accurate it is. Lu is going through her 8-9 month fussy stage now. Crossing fingers it is over soon. Good luck with your DD
