Question Maybe Conjunctivitus? And..

Ok like the title suggest i think DD has conjunctivitus, well most likely anyway she has gunky eyes which ive been washing every few hours in bicarb and water/ or breastmilk- ive been doing this over the last 24 hrs or so still hasnt cleared up (i also think i may be getting it to my eyes r really heavy n weapy (trying to be careful with washing hands etc after contact)

What else can i do ?

Also since last nite shes been out of sorts really clingy to me and wingy and seems to be really croaky .. she has no temp or anything still bf and eating as normal i dont no whats wrong with her ?? i think i might book a doc app if theres any app on a sunday any suggestion or help on what could be wrong with her and what i can do in the mean time??

I can't really offer any more than what you're already doing, other than keeping her fluids up and keep cleaning the eye out...

How old is DD? Teething?

Not so much with the conjunctivitis, but the clinginess may be a sign? Any other signs, drooling etc?

often kids can get conjunctivitis or weepy eyes with a virus so that is probably what is happening. if she has a runny nose she could be rubbing the snot into her eyes in which case it would be bacterial conjunctivitis and need antibiotic eye drops. usually even if they think it is viral they will give drops anyway just in case. is there any redness in the whites or even on the skin around her eyes? that would suggest conjunctivits too. and if your eyes are weepy then it probably is that you both have it as it is highly contagious. is the stuff coming from here eyes green or puss like?

just keep wiping her eye with salty water, but make sure you use a clean cloth between eyes until you see the GP.
