Today and yesterday it was because I took him to DS1's kindy drop off before taking him to day care. Both days he has refused to leave and I've had to carry him out kicking and screaming. Which I hate doing but I have to catch the train into work afterwards and if I miss it it's half and hour till the next one, so I can't wait too long for him to calm down. What a great start to a long day!!

I see a similar theme to alot of the situations!!

With DD, it can be anything, but recent tantrums:
because I touched the plate she was carrying (i only wanted to straighten it up for her so the toast didn't slide on the floor )
because I needed her to sit/stand still to get her dressed
because we left the park

RhyB - not letting her bring outside toys inside is a frequent one here!

I was so hoping it was a phase - mind you, I personally had a bit of a tantrum and stamped my foot a few times, as DH was being infuriating and wouldn't let me have any of the hidden stash of chocolate (doesn't he know not to refuse a women, especially one who either has pms, is on her period or pg! or in other words, whenever I'm hormonal )

lol well this morning Noah cracked because I didn't let him eat dry sultana bran out of the packet...I simply put it in a bowl was even going to let him eat it without milk...it was the end of the pack so I even tried putting it back in the pack and letting him eat it out of there...but you know what they can be like once they start

hmm yesterday it was because I wouldn't let ds wear his gum boots on his hands and then climb all over my bed with them on (which I just put clean sheets on).

This morning it was because I wasn't playing doctors the way he liked, even though I had no idea what he wanted me to do

another one this morning at 5am when he decided it was time to get up, so I brought him into bed with us and he kept poking my eyes until I finally got up. Then after he got me out of bed, he didn't want to come down stairs, so he threw himself on the ground.. its so hard to keep a straight face when he does that lol

Tantrums are a daily thing here at the moment.....

Yesterday it was because DS#3 wanted a chocolate frog. I gave him one but because it was broken in half when it came out of the packet it caused a complete meltdown....he never did eat that frog !

Havent had any issues yet today but i am sure we will.

- Mummy not picking her up for the 50th time because I'm tired and pregnant!
- Not being allowed to have a 2nd muesli bar
- Wanting to get out of the shopping trolley
- Unpacking the groceries and not paying her attention at that very moment which led to her collapsing on the floor crying and screaming for 20 minutes

Hmmm.. Well today Master H brought me a lump of playdoh. He wants a cat. So I spent a good 15 minutes carefully crafting this brown lump of playdoh into a cat shape as he watches me.. Finally looking fairly feline like I present to him his transformed playdoh... "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! MUMMY! YOU BROKE IT! YOU BROKE MY (S)NAIL"

Doing for him exactly what he asked me to do apparently called for a good hour of screaming, dobbing me into Daddy and telling me to go away.

Sigh...

Hehehe this thread made me giggle. So far today we have had a tantrum over outside toys staying outside, and putting clothes on instead of pj's.

But for some reason ds woke up from his nap having a tantrum over nothing. He literally got up out of bed and started screaming. I went up to bring him downstairs and that made things worse- screaming at me "no, Mum, GO!!" Took him ten minutes to calm down and I still don't know what started it...
