| | Ive decided now to get DP on board!
Hey everyone would LOVE your thoughts on my final decision (most of you have prob seen it in another thread) but also on how to get DP to come to the party and make a decision!
Ok so i have decided i REALLY like Zara Grace
I think is goes nicely with our DD Ava Lilly, i have had a practice saying both names together and saying Zara out loud!
I am not sure where i got Grace from, DP mentioned Zara months ago but now he's not sure and keeps making stupid comments on names when i ask.
Some recent stupid suggestions he makes are:
Upsy Daisy
Zara Lara (not so stupid but not acceptable with his surname)
Acette
It's like he's avoiding my question, i am sick of calling this poor girl #2 all the time, last night i told him i put my vote in for Zara Grace what about you, he said i vote for upsy daisy as DD was wearing upsy Daisy PJ's... hmmmm
I have 12wks left but have a feeling i will go early and i WANT a name picked, we had DD's within a week of knowing she was a girl and it was the only name we even mentioned.
Sorry for rambling, any hints or tips and thoughts on the name will be much appreciated.

Agree with him and start calling the baby Uspy.
He will probably suggest something else then. Although that didn't work so well for me the other week, so make sure YOU register the birth and not your DP. (I'm still hoping DH was joking but doesn't see the need to tell me that, given that #2 is quite a long way off.)

I love the name Zara Grace, so so pretty, and goes perfectly with Ava Lilly!
As for DH, sounds like mine, never gives a straight answer! I think that if he isnt saying no to it, then he is probably happy to go with it, and is just enjoying annoying the socks off you!
Good luck x

Am tempted to put Zara Grace in my signature but don't want to jinx it until he gives me a proper answer... |

just tell him the baby has a name whether he likes it or not! he suggested Zara, you have decided you liked it, so he can take a hike on anything else! you get to choose middle name just cos you can!
he was interested in E's middle name when we were there - wonder what the go was there lol

you told us the name you were thinking when we were at Ava's bday hun - so she knows it (will probably forget, but she knows it lol)
maybe just start calling your belly Zara Grace to Ava - then he'll have to accept it cos otherwise it will confuse A lol

I love names starting with Z, so Zara Grace gets my vote. I also think it would be sweet to have a girl starting with A (Ava) and one starting with Z. Like perfect little bookends.

Thanks everyone, i kind of like the opposites A & Z aswell, i think they may be 2 completely different little characters too!
Feeb - i think if they can't come up with anything useful they should just keep their mouths shut! lol
Hmm am thinking the 27th December for this bub even though i'm due the 8th Jan.. not sure why just keep getting that feeling... anyone else want to guess.
DP said he thinks i will go earlier than that (hope not.. not b4 x-mas, it's all about A this yr)
But if i do go early, not long to get this name picked! *nudge nudge* DP!

| | DP still wont give me any ideas and OMG i just realised i am 30wks TODAY!..
He is still making jokes about names, the latest is Nyah Woodwood as these are 2 of his favourite places.
his uncle lives in woodwood and we go there every year for easter and Nyah is the town next door with the trotting track both are on the Murray and absolutely gorgeous and i love being there but come on.
I said i don't actually mind Nyah it's kinda a nice name, Nyah Grace would be ok.. nope Nyah Woodwood! give me a BREAK!
Hmm come on ladies what can i do now.. so sick of calling her #2.. i want to name this baby! |

WE MIGHT HAVE FINALLY AGREED!
So last night we had a birthday dinner for our niece, SIL asked if we had picked names yet.
DP joked around that we wanted LUCY which is a name they like, they were like nooooo and i said NO thats not it but it WAS on my list until they said it's been on theirs for years (spoilt sports have 2 kids and don't plan on more but no-one can use their name).
So then out of nowhere DP says nah were thinking ZARA!
I didn't get my hopes up so waited til we got in the car.
Me: were you serious about Zara, do you like it
DP: Nods his head, yeah it's ok
Me: So you've just been giving me stupid UPSY DAISY etc etc just to be annoying
DP:
So we didn't end up 100% agreeing but he has told his sis we are thinking ZARA... is that a win for me?
Yay i might get my gorgeous girl ZARA GRACE! | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
