| | same middle name for DD's???
ok my middle name is Lee same as my mums, so we gave it to DD for her middle name now we have just found out we are expecting another beautiful daughter and DH thinks we should give her the same middle name?? im not so sure ive never heard of anyone else doing this. i know when i was little i used to think it wasnt fair that all my family have names that start with D and i got a name that started with N i dont feel this way any more i love my name lol, so i can understand that as an older child she may wonder why she didnt get the same middle name but i also worry she might think she should have had something different. there is no other names from our familys to use so we would just be picking a middle name for this baby because we liked it. babys first name is picked but its secret it is a traditional name and goes well with Lee but would just like some opinions...does anyone think its weird to use the name twice???

I dont think it's weird. My twin sisters have the same middle name, I guess that's abit different as being twins it signifies their connection, but I dont think it is odd. Very nice really! Alternatively my mum and aunties middle names are Renee Maree and Lee... all with the double ee's.

In the future when I have another bub, if it's a girl I was thinking of giving her the same middle name as my daughter but I don't know about that...seeing as DD's middle name is my first name - might be seen as a bit vain naming more than one child after me.

| | DS would have had the same middle name as DD if he was a girl - it is my maiden name that is also a girls name. If you like it go for it!

| | My brother sister and I all have the same middle name.
It is not a first name name, it is a family surname. So I copped it at school lol
But I love it.
If it means something to your family then why not?

My step sister gave all her 8 kids(boys and girls) the same middle name and it is also Lee lol.
I personally wouldn't do it but again it comes down to what you and your DH want to do

That's quite a good idea. If I'm in the position to have two girls, giving them both Zaidie as a middle name is suddenly looking like an idea! Have to run it past DH. Bwahaha - we've got names sorted for #2 already, he'd flip at me if I made him pick for #3 too!

My auntie has 6 kids, 4 girls and one boy. The girl's middle names all begin with L and the boys have the same middle name. I don't think it's strange at all, I think it's a beautiful idea!

I know quite a few people who have kids with the same middle name. Usually Mum/Dad's name etc - I think it is a nice connection.
