Hi Everyone

Yes have been getting the e-mails re: requirements!

Asfor the early round offers if you go into your login on QTAC website (if you applied online) next to your preferences they have 3 offer dates next to the B of Mid and Nursing. Saying 3rd Dec, 17th Dec and then the January round offer. So not sure what to think!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh wow, I didn't realise that! Might ring griffith to see what they say.

Does anyone know whether they have decided if you can enrol part time? I'd spoken to Jenny Gamble ages ago and she said you could but then I was speaking to Joce Toohill a couple of months back and she wasn't sure.

Hi Mara

On my preference where I have put Bach of Mid it has that it is offered fulltime , whereas my bach of nursing prefence has that it is offered full or part time.

Let us know what Griffith say about early round offers!

I rang Griffith and there was no-one at the School of Mid and Nursing for me to speak to so I'm going to send an email re: the part-time study load thing and I'll keep you all posted.

I also rang QTAC re: the early offer rounds and apparently the Uni will give early offers in December to a few selected applicants who are deemed as exceptional, but the major offer rounds are where most of the places will be given.
Geez, wouldn't it be nice to get an early offer . . .

I have Griffith as my 2nd preference but I got the email and a letter as well about the requirements. I would love to be one of the ones who gets an early offer - would certainly help a lot with planning things.

How do you think you'll go studying with bubs Bon?

I'm still tossing up whether to have another bub next year and defer my spot (if I get in) til 2011.

If we got the eggie this month I'll be due 31July so bubs would be a good 6 months old by the time i started Uni. Which wouldn't be too bad I guess.

So has everyone started with their Hep B vaccinations etc? I was speaking to Joce Toohil and she was saying all 3 hep B vaccinations have to be complete before any clinical placements or followthroughs are started and the course of 3 takes up to 6 months. So prospective fulltime Bmid students need to get the vaccinations started NOW seeing as clinicals start in first semester. She did say there is an accelerated vacc schedule that can be done but it is not suitable for everybody and that you need to discuss options with your GP.

Oh, and she also confirmed to me that you CAN enrol in a part-time study load

How is everybody feeling?

I haven't yet because I'm currently in the TWW. But if AF arrives then I'll be off to get my first hep B shot like a rocket. How much did it cost you?

TWW is about over. Looks like AF is beginning to make an appearance.
Not to worry, I'll be off to get my HepB shot this week. I didn't even think about claiming on PHI. Good thinking
