I can really sympathise witth the tired, cranky, clumsy fall over then get hurt scenario. My 2.5yo is doing this a the moment, she hates her day sleep and will get hysterical if I try and get her to go to bed during the day. She really still needs a day sleep though as she becomes so upset and injury prone if she doesn't get it. I've given up the bed idea and now make her lie on her fold out lounge with a book and if the tv is of she falls asleep in about 10-15mins. She is that bit older though.
Funny thing is she goes to family day care on thursdays and sleeps in the bed there no problems, go figure
. I have asked her if she likes to sleep in her bed and she said no and I asked the same thing about childcare and she said she 'likes lindas bed'. If only we could see what goes on in there beautiful little heads sometimes life would be so much easier.
