Yeah - sorry, by top up fees I meant out of pocket expenses, yet another English/Australian difference!! I'm eligable to join medicare and will be doing that asap once we've landed, along with a huge list of other things. The first couple of days in the country aren't going to be relaxed at all!!

Hope's on some pretty hefty medication so can't carry a child herself (and due to her past she wouldn't cope at all well with the invasive nature of childbirth - she'll just about cope with the transvaginal scans but certainly not the possibility of a strange mans hand up inside her). I'm more than happy to carry the baby - I love being pregnant and giving birth so it's a good deal for both of us.

It's going to be odd making the move - Christmas in the sun?? How bizarre!! Hope's been living with us for almost 3 years now and its time to give up on England and head 'home'. Today it's a 'super hot day' according to the radio and it's 24C!
