smithy - i didn't find acupuncture hurt at all - the needles are really fine and whilst i was aware of them going in, there was no pain & then i completely forgot they were there altogether!
i wasn't on ivf, but to help fertility, my acupuncturist put needles near my ankles, on my feet, near my wrists & a couple on my calves (the front). she did put one needle in between my eyes (above the bridge of my nose) but that was just because i'd been really stressed about work & this is apparently a very relaxing point!
when i went back after getting my BFP, she did put some needles in my belly & in the middle just below my breasts - and these points were to help the
PG hold.
i found the whole process very relaxing
